The Hungarian psychologist, a teacher in California, Sikszentmihalyi identified the features provided, describing the experience of flow (flow).

Here are the characteristics of a situation that will challenge us:
- Clear Objectives: expectations and rules activity are properly collected and the goals are achievable with the skills of the actor
- balance between the difficulty of the activity and the skills of the actor (the activity is neither too easy nor too difficult it is a motivating challenge)
- activity is in itself a source of satisfaction (It is not perceived as a chore)
- High degree of concentration on a limited field of consciousness (hyperfocus)
- A loss of sense of self-awareness, death of distance between subject and object
- Distortion of time perception
- direct and immediate feedback. Successes and challenges during the process are immediately identified and adjusted behavior.
